SLIFTOR electric chain hoist and SLIFTOR electric wire rope hoist are both used widely in warehouse, construction site, mine, logistics etc. But what is the differences between electric chain hoist and wire rope electric hoist?


Firstly, the volume is different

The winding device of electric chain hoist is chain. The rotation of the sprocket is the key to lifting and lowering, and the winding direction of the chain on the sprocket can be set arbitrarily, with high flexibility and reasonable structure, so the volume is small, for electric wire rope hoist, the winding device is wire rope, the lifting is rotated by the reel, and the wire rope needs to be wound up to the maximum height, and the wire rope needs to be wound on the reel at least 3 times. This results in an increase in the length of the reel, an increase in height, an increase in the length of the reel, and an increase in the volume of the device. Therefore, the wire rope hoist of the same specification is several times or even ten times as mentioned by the chain hoist.

Secondly, the height of the lift is different

SLIFTOR electric wire rope hoist lifts the weight by the elastic deformation of the wire rope wound on the reel. The smaller the diameter of the reel, the larger the wire rope type variable, because one side is under pressure and the other side is subjected to tension. The strength does not exceed the regulations, and the diameter of the reel needs to increase. SLIFTOR electric chain hoist is hinged by a chain link, and the ring chain mainly bears tensile force. In order to reduce the pressing strength between the links and between the link ring and the sprocket socket, the sprocket is made into a socket shape. It can be seen from these two devices of the same specification that the former has a larger diameter than the latter sprocket, so that the same height of the track, the former rises less than the latter.

Thirdly, the running distance is different

The axis of the SLIFTOR wire rope hoist is parallel to the center line of the running track of the trolley, and the center line of the chain hoist and the running track can be installed at 90 degrees, so the latter has a longer running distance under the same condition and track length.

Fourthly, the modification is different

SLIFTOR electric wire rope hoist, different lifting height, the length of the model is different, so the lifting height is lower, can not be changed to a higher lifting height, and vice versa, although it can be modified, the electric hoist reel will be idle, resulting in waste. The model of the SLIFTORchain hoist has nothing to do with the lifting height, only related to the length of the chain. If you want to modify it, you only need to change the chain.
